Homeward Bound

Remember this movie, very cute very sad. I don't remember anything that happens in it, I just remember that I saw it.

Anyway we are off tomorrow to fly home to find a home for our family to move into back in Cincinnati. I have to get everything ready for the trip today because everything I did yesterday had nothing to do with the travels of next week. So today I will be slaving over packing and fighting with memory until we take off the ground. Tyler has been asking to pick Granny up at the airport "in da caaaarrrr" he doesn't get that we are going this time... to home. It is all very exciting and I will be happy when all the plane stuff in over.

So Ta Ta for now. I have to pack!

4th of July Is Full Of Loud Bangs

Our weekend seemed slow as it was passing but looking back it was a big blur. On Friday we hung around the house, I made Tyler a family album photo book so that he would recognize some of his family when we move back. He is very interested in naming the folks he already knows but getting him to pay attention past: Grandma, Grandpa, Grandma, Grandpa, Mew- maw, Mew-maw, Pa-pa, Susu, Connie, Uncle Tim...and he sort of falls off. We have plenty of time to practice, and he is a fast learner so we should be good all the way to Aunt Angie by August.
Anyway later in the day we had a BBQ to go to. It was nice because we had a balcony view of the fireworks#1 that you couldn't wish for. That was a late night like 11pm. Phew and ya know what Tyler doesn't really like fireworks.

On Saturday we recovered from Friday and chilled out most the day. Thomas rested in the morning and then we switched and I napped in the afternoon. After a little rest we went to the fireworks on base. Thank goodness we found some friends for Tyler or he would not have survived the wait 'til the booms came. Now he really does not like fireworks. That was another 11pm night.

So Sunday I could not just stay home..nope not me! So we went out for doughnuts and to the farmers market. The market is close to one of Tyler's playgrounds, and being the dictator that he is he refused to calm down until the park was in the plans. So to the park we went and played for awhile until it was time to change diapers. Home we went but did we stay...no! Off to the mall we went to check out the great sales! Thomas got a couple of shirt and Tyler measured a size up on his shoes so he got a new pair of kicks. They have monster trucks and flashing lights, who knew Stride Rite was so cool and hip... not really but Tyler thinks they are cool and that is all that matters.

Today we will spend the rest of the day getting ready for our trip home. Get ready, get ready , get ready!

None of Chinda.

We went to a party over the weekend and got good pics but none of Chinda and Chris. I didn't really want pics of them, but it would have been nice to get one with me and Chinda at least.

This photo would have been horrible if he hadn't of gotten his little head in there!

Outside.

Whew! Thursday. This week is slowly going by mainly I think because of the weather. Just when you think that it is safe to go play...clap...clap...boom! Rain. Yesterday was a little less than I had hoped for but ...I FINALLY got sand. Mainly because they got it at the PX now and I didn't have to make a special trip to Home Depot to get just sand. Now it will probably be another month before the sand makes it to the box... Oh well.

Today we went to the book store where Tyler spent all morning playing on the train table. My camera was of course here at home, so no pics :( He was really funny with all the other kids zooming around and around and around and around and around and around .... the table. This weekend Chinda has her engagement party so that will be fun..I hope.
Off to nap I'm pooped and Thomas has softball tonight. Bye!

Spell Bananas N-A-N-A-S

I only like to eat my "nanas" like Curious George!
Seriously?...Yes he is very serious. No more simple bananas, he must have the peel attached and be able to hold it. He'll eat to the peel and coming looking for someone to peel it down further. No more simple banana.

Summer is Here

Holy Moly! Where has the year gone? I looked at my calender today and realized that it has been officially summer for a couple of days now. 2008 is slipping through my fingers and I now know that I am getting older because I cannot keep up with time. When your young it is almost like you can sit and watch time go by, there is a sense of awareness that as you grow older you lose. I would like to know who took it away and how do I get it back...it was probably the TV, or Starbucks, two things I am currently trying to swear off of, they are no good.

From this summer I would really like three things. Good old fashion family time, with lemonade and grass stains involved. Some small art pieces, and maybe a couple of big ones. And lastly a pedicure every now and then. I'm not asking much from the summer, it is supposed to be relaxing. In the midst of a move coming soon, for now these things are on my mind. And I would like all those things to involve photos, not so much the pedicure really. Well maybe...I do have cute toes.

Today. It's already half way gone, but what the hoo. Thomas has a spot of poison ivy on his leg that he thinks is spreading so we will picking up treatment for that. Now that the sun is shining after an undecidedly dreary/sunny morning when Tyler wakes up we will attempt a walk. I really need a pair of shorts...that fit. And I am still resisting buying any flowers for the front of our home since we are moving.

I forgot to mention how great of a weekend we had. In short, Saturday we went to a farm to see animals. And then we went to the river and had lunch on the boardwalk, came home napped picked up a quick dinner and headed to the slides and swings at a nearby park. Sunday, Thomas preached, Tyler napped the rest of the day, big deal...long late nap. And then he woke up ate and went back to bed. He was pooped! Yeah weekend!

Jones Farm

Tyler and the chickens. He was so happy to be with the chicks! And they loved him...because he had food. He was not scared he was feeding the chickens, letting them eat out of his hand--sometimes. We also saw ducks, some mini horses eating their lunch, and an 1,ooo pound pig named Polly. Well, really only a piece of the pig, that big of a pig you cannot see all at once!
Luv. Bye.

Frogs

Yesterday. Ummm. Just one of those days that slipped buy. Since we are looking for a place to live once we get to Cincinnati, I have been devoting a lot of time to house searching...sorry blog. Tyler and I took a walk in the morning while the sun was still shinning. The weather man had forecast thunder storms all day and I wanted to beat them and get some vitamin D for the day. It never rained yesterday, in fact it was sunny all day. Oh well.

Today. Today is a different story it look like it might rain any second, it has looked like that all day and has not rained one drop... yet. We went to target as our daily outing and bought all that miscellaneous (I spelled that all by myself!) stuff that you need, but can't figure out why, and holy moly it costs so much! Tyler yielded 2 new toy frogs from the outing, didn't need those and they are gross and squishy, could easily be mistaken for real frogs...great!?! Then for lunch was sushi for me pizza for Tyler and now he is out for a nap, sorta. No time to waste today. Bye.

Our Chipmunkssss

Can you see him sitting on top of the toy lawnmower. This is one of the many chipmunks that scare the crap out of me daily. There is nothing to do about them either. We have more chipmunks than squirrels honestly. The scary part is they are not really afraid to come close if your fairly still...Tyler has nothing to worry about. Our sliding door is the problem, when it does not get shut due to frequent ins and outs in the morning, I am afraid one will get in the house! What a mess that would be. There is one tapping on the door right now to see what I am doing!?!

Next, Tyler got the Master Tigress character from Kung Fu Panda in his happy meal yesterday and has not put it down, he insisted on wearing his Bengal jersey this morning so he could match his new plastic tiger pal. This jersey is a whole other story. As long as he gets to wear it all day he is happy, but heaven help us if it gets dirty and he has to change.

So today is a dreary day it has been threatening to rain all day, I managed to sneak to the grocery without getting wet, that rarely happens, it always rains when I go to the store. Nothing much for the rest of the day. Parents magazine says I need to put my kid on a TV diet, big surprise! And is Oprah really going vegan? Hmmm...she must be reading the same stuff I am, although we are hardly vegan with our nuggets and turkey burgers! Oh well off to clean the toilet! Bye!!

Lets Skip Every Monday?

I didn't feel like typing today. But I forgot to say that this weekend I got some sites up and running. By some I mean two, one for art one for family. I've got some more tweeking to do so they are not quite ready but they are coming along.

New pic Old Painting

Finished This a few months ago, was a pattern from a shower curtain...I liked it. Will get it up on etsy.com soon...I think!

Slow Computer

Today I am trying to get a lot done on the pewter but this is not happening because I haven't bothered to shrink any files to work with. Anyway Hopefully I will have something to show for all my hard work soon.

Who knew there were Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles on Noah's ark!?!
Bye!

Wednesday, June 11

In the swing of things.

So nothing much today. Yesterday went for a walk at about 4pm. Roasted! But got some much needed sun to perk me up. Then we rushed to Thomas' softball game which didn't happen to start for another hour, he was the only one that did not get the memo!

Today I was smarter and took a walk as soon as I could get Tyler and I out the door, about 9am...much better. Warm to hot and breezy. This evening Thomas has another soft ball game which he says start at 5pm..maybe we will go. These games are a bit trying on Tyler given he would give every toy in the world to play on the field with Daddy, but this cannot happen during the game which he is just starting to understand. But the little tyke still tries to "wander" at warp speed out to the field of flying softballs. The first time he succeeded I thought sure we were headed to the hospital as a ball was hurtling straight toward his head, it did not hit him and he was none the wiser as he was drug from the field. Oh, so maybe more trying for me than him.

Well gotta go!

Tuesday, June 10

Popcorn in a Spoon

Tyler is crying because he want to eat his "cop-porn" with a spoon.

He manages... eventually!

Monday, June 9

Computer Rocks

Tyler loves listening to music and being a DJ on the "pewter", since he has figured out how to change songs. He'll find one he likes bob his head and then find another to listen to. Sometimes if he finds one that he particularly like he'll get down and dance.

I am trying to catch our chipmunks and camera so you all can see them, but those suckers are fast!

Hugs all!

Thursday, June 5

Weekend come out where ever you are.

This morning if already full. I am more exhausted this morning than Thomas from his two softball games last night. We did about the same amount of running, him around bases and me after misc. kids and my own who I think runs more than any other kid I have ever met. And I am am very proud to say that he is fast.....TYLER COME BACK THIS WAY!!! So Thomas got up with the little boy this morning and made breakfast with his sore shoulder...Thanks babe, your coffee is actually pretty good. I got woken up to a bagel and hot eggs, how cool! The coffee came later, and then I was ready to go. I got started on laundry, Tyler needs his Thomas the Train undies washed and Thomas needs his basketball shorts for this afternoon when he plays basketball at lunch. He really doesn't stop, the guy really loves his sports, he so in shape and I am jealous. But I love my curves and so does he and that's all that matters.

Yesterday this came in the mail. I ordered it from an artist I found online, it's a print. I like penguins and it had a good story behind it about her post pregnancy time, it touched me so I got one. Hopefully I can get it framed soon.

I am up and dressed Tyler is practicing his undies skills and we off to a good start. Thomas is coming back home around lunch to get his "hoop" clothes and I have coffee in hand. We have a "Hail and Farewell"dinner to got to tonight because Thomas' office is having a huge worker bee turn over. Almost all of the new folks are here so we get to hail the newbees and farewell people like us who are leaving. Maybe some art will happen today I feels like it could be an art day, what more could you ask for. Oh, more Granma pics ...Okay! He's got a mouth full of nugget in this one. Mom where are your pics!

Lost in the Sauce.

It has been so nice outside these past few days that the blog has taken a back seat to some much needed sun soaking. All day Monday Tyler and I spent the day outside, well once I convinced him that it was ridiculous to watch Jungle Book all day when the sun was warm and shining. That was a small battle, but I won an that is what is important??? So we headed up to the park and played with a girl a couple months older than Tyler until lunch. After that came lunch then nap then research on potty training then Daddy came home and the rest is history. We hit the sack hard that night. Yesterday also a pretty pretty day, we hung out in the morning and then after a nap we walked to the store and bought cool Thomas the Train undies and then to the grocery to get stuff. Then it was off the watch Daddy play softball. So for the last two days we have been outdoors a lot. We put our sunscreen and bug spray to the test, both worked out well. The bug spray makes you small like a candle, or Thomas said "Who mopped the floor?" Thanks. But the important part is we are bug bite free. The sunscreen is a bit thick it turns Tyler a lovely shade of lavender, as long as he doesn't know I don't think it won't be a problem.

It is good we spent the last 2 days outside because today is wet, and a perfect day to start toilet training. Oi! This is a part of parenting I have been dreading, but it must be done, I 'm sure there are worse things in my parenting future. Anyway wish us luck every morning we will be in undies until he starts to get the hang of things. No anything going on this morning I am watching my son like a hawk, so I can put him on the potty before the floor turns in to one...again!
Thanks for all the work suggestions, I am slowly pushing myself towards the idea, it's hard to imagine myself at work after staying at home with Tyler for 2 years.

.....More Granma pictures Okay!!!!

Hey Tyler look at the plane!

Back In Action... Fresh Start

To type or to tape that is the question. I don't know which is less annoying when you just want to throw something up there. Blogging typing takes a chunk of time unfortunately...not the actual blogging all the stuff that you get caught up doing while your blogging is more of the headache part. I'm sure if I really tried I could just blog and email, but I am always looking up something or doing something non-blog simultaneously, and then we end up with headache. I suppose it's a step away from the TV, and that has to be good?!? And the tape part is a lot of w...a...i...t...i...n...g!!! Holy wait time. But I am sticking to my blog not giving up!

This blog was supposed to be about art mostly with some family thrown in there, but it seems to be more like Tyler Blog with a little of art and family thrown in there. This is totally understandable because he is with me all day. So I am thinking of expanding. I have the mac gallery and I now own it so it will be ever growing. This feature also came with a lot of perks which I think I will be putting to good use as soon as I figure out how to put them to good use. You'll get to see what they are when I figure them out. Until then I'll just keep blogging.

Yesterday I got to go to one of my favorite breakfast places, and it is close so that is nice. I have a Greek omelet with one chocolate chip pancake... don't say that's all because that is alotta food. Tyler gets a waffle with bananas on the top and never eats it, next time I'm just getting him a plate of bacon! And Thomas just ate alot! Totally cool until we ran into graduation week traffic. Oh my, is it possible for cars to be backed up for more that 3 miles to see a parade, not the graduation.. that's today, but a parade. I remember Thomas' parade, and these folks are crazy, poor souls they don't know any better. But once we got home Tyler got to play outside and he was happy. I'm thankful for the nice weather, it give us a requested break from the TV. Outside is referred to as "SLIDE", and he wants it all the time. I have purchased natural sunblock SPF 30, for the fam. so now we won't be getting cancer from the sun or the block. GO GREEN!

Thomas and I are brainstorming jobs for myself when we move. So far the closest thing I would want to do is work with the over the rhine kids in art programs which there are several of. I got in touch with the museum school and they kinda put me on that track except all there listing were for Boston. So I have to find a source in Cincy to list me these programs. The only one I know off the top of my head is artworks so I'm going from there. As far as art goes I'm trying. And now what you all have been waiting for "Ganma" pics. I am still working on uploading them so I can group them. Today bedtime, tomorrow dinner.

So here is some advice from my young brain, it's free, don't go off the laundry schedule...if you have one. I do I try to do 2 loads a day, 3 if it's a good day. Ouch! I haven't done laundry since Tuesday...Oy! It is almost as bad as trying to cram for a test, I believe that's the feeling. So do not go off the laundry schedule...it is bad news!

And for today, ummmm Saturday, lets stay at home and play some more in the yard. We can test our natural sunblock and bug spray, then we can grill burgers.

Ahhh! Warm sun! BYE.
